BEC 2018 Edition updated 3 phase Motor Efficiency

The latest Building Energy Code BEC 2018 version, effective on 16 May 2019 included a number of marginal improvements including updating the requirements for the energy efficiency of 3 phase electrical motors.

Comparing the 2015 and 2018, the energy efficiency requirement for 2-pole and 4-pole 3 phase motors above 11kw remain unchanged, with marginal upgrading for smaller motor sizes, as shown in the following table:
