The long awaited code of practice enabling wider application of RES (renewable energy systems) has been published by EMSD. The document titled "Technical Guidelines on Grid Connection of Small-scale Renewable Energy Power Systems" covers the basic requirements for RES under 200kw connecting to electricity power grid.

With unremarkable content, the guidelines basically set out in writing the information owners are required to submit for any grid inter-connection application.
The Government is seeking your input, suggestions and ideas for the future development of the electricity market in Hong Kong. The electricity market consultation period ends on 30th April 2005.
