Kelcroft provides infrared imaging (also known as thermography) to revealed hidden information not visible to the human eye.

Infrared Video clip showing Thermal Scan in Action

An electrical cable, on the left, the orange colour means it is hot, it is overheating, that is dangerous, the other cables at room temperature blue colour are not faultly.

How Does Infrared Work?

All objects emit infrared radiation according to their temperature, and humans cannot see or detect infrared radiation, but our infrared camera converts the infrared into a visible image with temperature scale.

In the video one cable appears to be orange/red colour, it is hot, overheating, caused by a loose connection.

The other cables in the field of view are cold, and appear dark blue in colour (normal) and show no fault. In fact its difficult to see the normal cables because they blend with the background colour blue.

It shows that a faulty connection is easily located in control panels or switchboards.
